I’ve been told I’m a people person. I can get along with just about anyone and because of that I think my business thrives. It doesn’t bother me that I’ve never met clients before going into the session. I talk crops during a family session with a farmer. I can talk cattle with a rancher during a session. Kids are easy, I just ask about school. But last Friday I was nervous. I had a Senior session with a boy. My first actual boy senior session. This particular Senior boy I had a run in with him 10 years ago. He was a snotty little shit and I was dreading that he’d still be like this. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Josh was very outgoing and not the little butt-head he was back a few years. Him and I talked a lot and it was nice to see he has matured into a nice young man. We changed things up with his session though. He built a demolition derby car and instead of having a fancy car/pickup in his pictures we used his demo. It was great and I’m so happy with the way they turned out. Very unique!
Saturday morning I checked my FB email and this was waiting for me. Make me smile and even a little teary eyed!
Now that I’m offering Sports Sessions Josh’s dad hired me to attend the demo and be Josh’s own paparazzi. I arrived and started snapping pictures of Josh and his pit crew getting the car ready. I took pictures of each sponsors name on the car then I noticed something. See that pink arrow?
I have made it now that my name is on a demo car! It’s the little things in life that really mean a lot!
